I came to this conclusion partly cause the restaurant has my name in it (DUH) and cause they serve around 7 courses instead of the usual 3 to 4 courses in other restaurant week hotspots. My belly was grumbling with excitement.
So the way the Sampan restaurant week menu works is that they portion the food depending on how many people are in your party. These were portions for two people. You then chose dishes for each of the categories in their menu. Below is what we slash I decided to get for us.
Shrimp & Lobster dumpling
Lobster Ceviche
Satay:
Pork Belly Satay
Cold &Hot:
Crab Wonton Taco
Meat:
Pekin Duck
Fish:
Soy Glazed Chilean Sea Bass
Sides:
Kobe beed Fried rice
The meal ends with the most adorable bite sized ice cream samplers, which the chef makes daily. The flavors change every so often but this time it was Captain Crunch and Swedish Fish.....I know sounded iffy to me too BUT IT WAS AMAZING! So don't knock em till you try em people.
I did come back here again a few days later for restaurant week still with my 4 girlfriends...I know slightly aggressive but that's how much I loved it
Food - Worth Waiting in line
